First Lady Aisha Buhari blows hot, rubbishes Oshiomole's Comradeship and Leadership prowess.

It is disheartening to note that some aspirants used their hard earned money to purchase nomination forms, got screened, cleared and campaigned vigorously yet found their names omitted on Election Day, these forms were bought at exorbitant prices.

Many others contested and yet had their result delayed. Fully knowing that AUTOMATIC tickets have been given to other people.

All Progressives Congress being a party whose cardinal principle is change and headed by a comrade/ activist whose main concern is for the common man, yet, such impunity could take place under its watch.

Given this development one will not hesitate than DISSOCIATE from such unfairness, be neutral and speak for the voiceless.

It is important for the populace to rise against impunity and for voters to demand from aspirants to be committed to the provision of basic amenities such as:
1. Potable drinking water
2. Basic health care ( Primary Health Care centers)

3. Education within conducive & appropriate learning environments.

No single person can influence the outcome of the National Convention says Governor Wike

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has reiterated that no single person can influence the outcome of the National Convention of the PDP holding in Port Harcourt.

In an interview on Friday, Governor Wike said nobody no matter how influential can control the voting pattern of 36 States delegates and Abuja.

He said: "I have a right to vote as a delegate. But my influence is minimal. Those talking about this dont have the facts.

"Are you saying that as Governor of Rivers State, I will place a gun on the head of all delegates to vote a particular candidate.

"I cannot compel all the 14 governors to vote a particular aspirant. You mean you can change the views and opinions of all the states?" he said.

The governor said that he will work with other leaders to ensure that the National Convention is transparent and credible.

Governor Wike also informed that credible intelligence indicate that APC has imported thugs into the state with the aim of disrupting the process.

"As at thursday, APC brought hoodlums to create an atmosphere of insecurity in Rivers State. It is not a mere allegation. We have it on good authority ", he said.

He said despite the plot of the APC, everything has been done to ensure that the National Convention ends successfully.

He noted that whoever emerges as the party's Presidential Candidate should team up with other leaders to sack the failed APC Federal Government.

The governor stressed that his interest is not in the outcome of the National Convention, but the economy of the state.

2019 GENERAL ELECTION; WAITING ON ONE MAN

Na wah o.

In the APC in my State of Oyo, it is not about the wishes of the generality of members nor even the consensus of a conclave of elders and stakeholders but about the wishes of one man.

They are in feverish mood waiting for Governor Ajimobi to decide who their party will field in the next Guber election.

This is not a democracy.
This cannot be a democracy.
Democracy is about the people.
It is about the wishes of the people.

At the Federal level, nobody "who him mama and papa born well" dares to collect Presidential Nomination forms to challenge President Buhari.

In Oyo State, the clowning is so much at the nadir that gubernatorial aspirants now paste posters with pictures and caption of "Ajimobi for Senate, Oyo South" clearly inscribed on it just to show the emperor they're on his side.

This is not a democracy.
This cannot be a democracy.

The APC, give it to them, have notched propaganda a step further that Buhari is now forming poverty and so because he's unable to pay, (is it N55million or N45million?)some amorphous group has stitched the millions together and bought him the forms.

Of course, they are merely copying a party that they so much love to drag in the mud - PDP.

In 2015, the PDP unabashedly declared that they had no other candidate for President apart from President Goodluck Jonathan.
And they went ahead to show their seriousness with this position by refusing to sell forms to any other aspirant.

But it has not always been like this.
You may say whatever you like about President Olusegun Obasanjo, but he remains the only incumbent President who went through elective primaries for his own re-election. (Death didn't enable us to know what President Umar Musa Yar'Adua would have done).

Obasanjo was declared the PDP's candidate for the April 2003 elections after he scored an overwhelming victory to beat off the challenge of three rivals at the Eagles Square, Abuja on January 5, 2003.

Obasanjo scored 2,642 votes, more than 75 percent of total votes cast by delegates, leaving his closest rival Alex Ekwueme, a former vice president, trailing with 611 votes - just over 17 percent. The other contestants, Abubakar Rimi, a former state governor, and ex-party chairman, Barnabas Gemade, scored 159 votes and 17 votes respectively.

A little while before then, Chief Obafemi Awolowo, who had the UPN in his grips still allowed a primary election to hold in his party in the old Oyo State in 1979.
Chief Bola Ige went into a shadow election against his old teacher and former Principal, Archdeacon Emmanuel Alayande to determine the UPN flag bearer for Oyo State of that time. The election was held at Shaki. Ige defeated Alayande.

These were 15 & 39 years ago respectively.
You would expect that after all those years our primaries would become more transparent and sophisticated.

Mais non, what do we have?

The whole nation or a whole state is waiting on just a man to pick for them a "favorite" as my dear aburo Sikiru Akinola put it on his blog this morning.

This is not democracy.
This cannot be democracy.

Everything is just in reverse gear.
The #NotTooYoungToRun law has been made a mockery of by the prohibitive cost of Nomination by the parties. That's more of # TooPoorToRun, isn't it?

The people are too impoverished, too supine to act, because daily they are too preoccupied with diurnal existential matters.

Of course, something will give.

Sooner than we expect!

Happy weekend , folks!

'Buharism' and it's threat to national integrity. By Bashiru Hameed Akande

Background

Muhammadu Buhari was a popular man in 2015. Goodluck Jonathan's perceived ineptitude coupled with Nigerians' dissatisfaction and disillusion with almost every facet of his governance propelled Muhammadu Buhari, then a71-year-old former military dictator who has contested three times before, into the limelight as the 'messiah'. His alleged tough stance on corruption -widely regarded to be endemic and the bane to national development - won him the hearts of many patriotic and zealous Nigerians who, for once in their lifetime, want to experience a sane, working Nigeria where government would actually be responsible to Nigerians and be responsive to their needs and yearnings, rule of law would be respected, discipline among government officials would be at premium, corrupt public officials would not be spared, and an all-inclusive government would be constituted in such a multicultural and multi-religious country like ours.

The early signs

Buhari's victory was such a relief that one might be forgiven for proposing the day of his famous victory as a national holiday. Not since the days of Murtala Muhammad had any Nigerian leader was able to garner as much support and wide acceptability (bar some southern states). Many people even trekked many miles to celebrate his victory. Buhari would've asked for heads after his victory and some of us would've given it to him with our blessings!.

ThCCrackss

However, the euphoria that followed his victory didn't last long as it was clear from the onset that indecision would be the Achilles' heel' of his administration. This effectively gave him the nickname of "Baba go slow". In fact, it took him about 6 months to form his government (about 12.5% of his supposed 4 years in office!). His early appointments also raised some eyebrows as they were considered lopsided, and excessively dominated by people of Northern and Islamic background.
For a man who has not been able to defend himself fully from allegations of ethnic jingoism and religious bigotry from some quarters, this made e mockery of his widely applauded inaugural assertion of " for nobody and for everybody". The notion that he prioritized competency is laughable as it can be argued and proved beyond reasonable doubt that competent and trustworthy people exist in all parts of the country. Some of his early fans, including myself, had to defend him with the hope that that the trend would change. Unfortunately, it didn't.

Soon after, Nigeria was also plunged into a5n economic recession. Inflation rates were at all times high. Companies were downsizing, jobs were being lost, the irony of the "change" mantra laid bare before ordinary Nigerians. The country's currency was at all-time weak. Things were very hard for nearly everyone (except if you're Yusuf Buhari who can still afford and N56M power bike!). To be fair to Buhari, the economic downturn was not entirely his fault. Years of reckless spending, irrational fiscal policies,  and imprudent debt management under previous administrations during the oil boom resulted in a recession as the 'writings were definitely on the wall' before his emergence. Coincidentally, oil prices also dropped significantly immediately he was sworn in. In fact, it was to his credit that he and his economic team successfully led the country of recession.

The President's "persistent ear infection" as it was described by the presidency (only God knows what that is) also became a source of concern for many necessitating the need for a debate as to his fitness to govern the country. As a matter of fact, he has been away for medical vacation for more than 170 days since May 29th, 2015 when he was sworn in.

The administration of the "converted democrat" as one APC campaign pamphlet described him in 2014 also failed to comply with many court orders and rulings. Notably, the failure to release Sambo Dasuki, erstwhile National Security adviser who has been accused of massive corrupt practices to the tune of billions of Naira. The excessive use of force on Shia members by security agents which can best be described modern-day genocide as contained in the resolution of the "Geneva Convention" and which should've perhaps attracted ICC, Hague. The subsequent incarceration of their spiritual leader and failure to obey court's order for his immediate release is reminiscent of the old military rule.

For a man who famously rode to victory based on his tough anti-corruption stance, his fight against corruption has been hugely disappointing. It has been accused -with evidence - that the fight is actually targeted against opposition members and disgruntled APC members. Even though a huge amount of money has been recovered through the Federal Government's cloudy Whistleblowing policy", many Nigerians considered it insufficient from a man who has promised to "unleash hell" on looters prior to his emergence.

Overall assessment

For all of his inadequacies, it's important to remember that Buhari should be considered a step higher than Jonathan's administration and if given the opportunity to choose again between them, fully aware of what's happening now, I would still have chosen him -though grudgingly. He has been able to move the country forward, though slower than one would have wanted. He has, obviously, made many mistakes and his government has been characterized by many administrative gaffes. And this is the part many of his burgeoning, overzealous, sycophantic, obsequious and bootlicking fans wouldn't want to agree. They think "Baba" is untouchable!

Buharism and fervor of Buharists.

Buharism can be thought of as a form of political, philosophical and ideological principles marked by excessive enthusiasm and often intense, uncritical devotion to the political, economic and other ideas, decisions and governance of Muhammadu Buhari. It can be liked to Hitlerism. A dangerous precedence which could undermine devotion and patriotism to Nigeria. It's a 'disease' ravaging through the country. It's highly infectious and could take away one's rationality if care is not taken. And the class of people this has infected is quite staggering. From the literates to unlettered, from students to teachers; it cuts across various religious and ethnic groups. They have vowed to always support every of his decision -regardless of how illogical they may seem.

Perhaps, how can one explain the rationality behind a group of people who hailed Buhari when Bukola Saraki was being prosecuted and still hailed him when FG dropped the case or when a minister in his cabinet caught in a certificate forgery scandal refused to resign only for her to resign two months later or when the son of a supposed prudent president crashedana N56M power bike or whenever a corrupt opposition member is being forgiven after joining APC. They are numerous and I've tried, albeit unsuccessfully, to understand their reasoning behind hailing every move of his. More staggeringly is the fact that some of them who live under $1.5 dollar a day are ready to donate to a president who can literally afford anything he wants!. They hailed him when he said Nigerian youths are lazy and also hailed him when he said they are not!

Buharism has a great implication for national patriotism as it raises people who are patriotic to certain individuals rather than the country. It raises 'sheeps' who would not critically evaluate every option available to them.

Conclusion

I like Buhari as well (some might argue against this) but I criticize him when I feel he has been wrong and I praise him for actions that are worthy of praise. For our country's sake, Buharism must die and must be replaced with critical thinking.

A "wailer", as they would say.

WHO SUCCEEDS GOVERNOR AJIMOBI? - 2019 IS HERE. OUR PROBLEM. BY ESV. ISMAIL ADEWOYIN

A few days ago, I received a short Yoruba comedy video on social media network titled "PROBLEM WA" meaning "OUR PROBLEM".

The video depicts a family man that out of marital status impregnated a girl and the girl's family had to bring her to the matrimonial home of the man... (starring popular Muyiwa Mr. Londoner). It was a comical relieve but deep in meaning and typical of what's presently playing out in the political arena in Oyo State.

At present, nobody knows where the pendulum of Oyo State gubernatorial position will swing to come 2019. What are the odds in favor or against each political parties and each candidate? Will the governor be able to succeed in appointing his successor? Will his party produce the next governor or the state government will fall into the waiting hands of any of the opposition parties? How are the candidates in each political parties faring? What are the strategies that will play out for a successor to Governor Abiola Ajimobi to emerge? Who are the gatekeepers in Oyo State of the present? Who determines where the governor will come from? Is it going to be usual winners take all stand of Ibadan or they will allow other zones to produce the next governor? All these questions needed urgent answers.

Let me approach these intricacies from political parties point of view. I will be concerned majorly with what Okeogun Area stands to gain, the reason why I venture into agitation for a power shift in the state in the last three and a half years.

Reason for agitation for an Okeogun man as next governor.

It is a general knowledge that political power has been in the hands of our Ibadan brothers in the last 35years!

Gov Omololu Olunloyo, (1983) Gov Kolapo Ishola,(1992/93) Gov Lamidi Adeshina, (1999/2003) Gov Rashidi Ladoja, (2003/2007). Alhaji Lamidi Adedibu represented by Gov. Alao Akala (2007/2011) and Gov Abiola Ajimobi 2011 till date).

The other reason apart from Ibadan voting population has been political sophistication. Politics in Ibadan has become hereditary and a typical Ibadan man sees himself as a potential governor of the state. It's a winner takes all approach. Politics is synonymous with business. No matter how much or with whatever God blesses a typical Ibadan man with, he will still aspire to be governor of the state. I am just being factual and blunt with my analysis. After all, my paternal grandmother is from Ibadan. This posture, this attitude, this stand have been working for our Ibadan brothers but not anymore. Enough is enough. Power must shift to other zones!

At present, major opposition parties have based their calculations on the same approach of giving their gubernatorial tickets to Ibadan and sourcing for a deputy from Okeogun. This approach will not work again. The handwriting can clearly be seen on the wall. Never again will Okeogun region concedes to take deputy governor slot again. I challenge whichever party that has zoned or appointed their gubernatorial candidate from Ibadan to also get their deputies within Ibadan too. We are tired of second fiddle position. It must sink into our knowledge that no zone, will come cap in hand to beg any zone for governorship ticket. It is our collective heritage and right to rule the state and it must circulate.

A brief appraisal of popular political parties in the present Oyo State (APC, PDP, ADC, ACCORD and ADP) and their preferred or likely gubernatorial candidates have shown that they are still living in past of "winners take all" position.

The very first day that the PDP elected an Okeogun person as their state party chairman, everybody knows that it was a plot to shut Okeogun out of the gubernatorial post. With the look of things, an Ibadan man will pick their gubernatorial ticket. For this reason too and also for our stand (Okeogun Lokan), his deputy may not come from Okeogun! PDP should forget any votes from our region.

For ADC, with "credible alternative " slogan, has the majority of Okeogun people as party men. The party's ticket may also likely heading to Ibadan. If this is done or if it comes to reality, I assure you that the party is not going to make any impact in Okeogun and Oyo State comes 2019.

Accord Party has been going around with a gubernatorial candidate of Ibadan extraction. Much of the activities of the party is not being felt in Okeogun area. The possibility of making an impact or fielding Okeogun man is zero.

ADP is also a relatively known party in the state. We are still watching.

The AD, ANRP, KOWA, SDP etc have all been showcasing gubernatorial aspirants only from Ibadan.

More importantly, the only party that has at least, two prominent Okeogun sons as part of her gubernatorial hopefuls is the ruling party APC. Unfortunately, the internal wrangling in the party has forced some of their followers to sit on the fence looking at where the pendulum will swing to. This is the connection with comedy video PROBLEM WA I made mention at the beginning of this post. Getting a credible and acceptable successor has been and it's still the only problem facing by Governor Abiola Ajimobi. (Problem tie, meaning Ajimobi's problem).

Governor Ajimobi's problem of getting a saleable successor has turned out to become "problem gbogbo was" meaning everybody's problem. It is our problem to see that the present security system that has brought peace to the state is sustained. It's our problem to see that whoever succeeds the governor will continue to build on the legacy of the governor. It's our problem to see that power does not get to a successor who has a sole aim of revenge, not a successor who will come to divide the state.

The governor has based his criteria in getting a successor on qualifications, international exposure, comportment, maturity, and above all "loyal and honest ". With these parameters, the party and her governor has been able to assemble an array of brilliant minds majority from Ibadan and just two or three from other zones - Hon. Isaac Omodewu, Barr Adebayo Shittu and Senator Fatai Buhari (Oyo North Senatorial District). The ball is now in the court of the gatekeepers in the state.

Prominent among the gatekeepers is Governor Abiola Ajimobi. Is he going to bow to "pressure from home" and present another Ibadan man to take over from him for another 8years to complete 43years of Ibadan as governor of the state? God forbid! Is he going to present an Ogbomosho man whose brother has been governor before? Is he going to build on his "KOSELERI" legacy by presenting an Okeogun person as the next governor? Yes. That is my position and my advice to our amiable governor and other gatekeepers to look into. Let us have a taste of change in Oyo State. Let power rotates, let developments rotates, let a sense of belonging. equality and togetherness foster in Oyo State.

With the array of candidates so far assembled by the governor and his party, I agreed totally that all of them are capable to govern the state but don't let it be winners take all. Let it be "Oye to kan are Iwo, a kan are Ede".

If Governor Abiola Ajimobi is able to stand for justice, equality and fairness and support an Okeogun man to succeed him, his name will be written in gold.

Esv. Ismail Adewoyin

WHY WE SHOULD BE OPEN MINDED ENOUGH TO REPLACE PMB COME 2019 -BY SEMIU ALOYINLAPA

If you don't have the time to read the post, don't just read the headline and jump to comment pls, you might have missed points that would have rendered your comment unnecessary. Thanks.

INTRODUCTION.

After making a humorous prayer for hardened supporters of Mr. President yesterday, the responses I got were quite shocking and I felt, in the interest of many unaware youths and that of innocent Nigeria, it's expedient I find time to write this article.

Let it be on records, that during 2015 general elections, I lead quite a number of campaign groups for PMB, many of us saw PMB as a perfect answer to the yearnings of an average Nigerian, we had so much confidence in his antecedent and we supported him to make a CHANGE we've all dreamt.

The evidence is also here on Facebook when myself and many other supporters of Mr. President stood firmly by him after 100days in office, the article I wrote is still here on facebook for records.

Why do I start with this introduction? So that many who felt they love PMB more than we do will know that we loved him more, we only love Nigeria much more...

IF I WANT TO BE SELFISH.

If I ever want to be selfish, I will never say anything about this Government because sincerely, I'm not affected, as a hardworking young man, I don't wait for any government, I take absolute responsibility for my life. As a matter of fact, I've increased in material possessions with the expansion of our company branches even when the said recession was at its peak.

But I don't want to be selfish because I feel the pains of an average man, I see people losing their jobs, I see hardship in people trying to provide shelter for their families because of the increase in prices of commodities, I see insecurity and restlessness in less privileged communities, and as a leader in my little way, I know what's expected of a good leader.

To those saying Buhari till they die, can you mention personal achievements you've had under his administration? Will you say same if your relatives had been affected by the herdsmen's attack? Can you say same if you've lost your job? That's rhetoric though.

To those who have said Amen to the prayer that I made, when I said you should say Amen if you want God to handle your life the way the PMB has handled Nigeria, this is practically what you've said Amen to, the more reason I said I rebook the amen for all of us, I know it's in our different perspectives.

1. DELAY:

Delay has typified this Government from the first year in office.

Appointment of Ministers was delayed, and eventually, some of them were square pegs in a round hole because, even as at the time of their screening, they had no idea what portfolio they will be operating, the worst black market appointment in history. Quite funny you go for an interview you have no idea the job description! What a drama!

This alone contributes immensely to the fundamental failure of this administration.

I'm sure we are all aware of-budget paddling and delay in budget presentation too...

2. FAILED PROMISES :

One of the things I hate to hear is that the mess created by the past administration is much, this is quite the worst justification for failure.

This mess had been identified before assumption of office, so, reiterating/over-flogging it is great evidence of cluelessness. The elders would say, a problem identified is half solved. But in this case, it's half multiplied ni o, as that's what we get to hear every time... Shifting blames!!

They promised $1=#1 and today, we are still paying hugely for dollars more than ever.

They promised an expansion of power supply

They promised a reduction In fuel price, but today, we are buying fuel at almost double the price they get it.. #85 to #143/5.

3. SECURITY:

I watched an interview with Mr. President before the 2015 general elections, he was asked about BokoHaram and he said what's BokoHaram, that the government allowed them to grow wings.

But today, we don't just have BH, Fulani herdsmen have joined, they've killed more people in this Government than ever, they've brought more attacks on people and communities than ever.

4. CORRUPTION :

Yes, this was one of the strongest reasons many of us voted PMB, he's undoubtedly a man of integrity, we knew our greatest problem in this country is corruption, and once it's wiped off, we will be able to move forward.

But when Mr. President started too, we realized it was selective and political, the most evident one being the removal of Obanikoro name for the big shot list of corruption after he joined APC, despite the indisputable evidence...

Check Transparency Internal report about Nigeria too, Nigeria dropped from 136th in 2016 to 148th position in 2017, out of 180 countries. The best and least corrupt takes the first position. So, how has a fight against corruption been effective?

5. ECONOMIC HARDSHIP :

Many lost their jobs, I've got friends who were victims and still struggling to balance up till today, we are paying more for foodstuffs and accommodation now than ever before, without accompanying salary increment to alleviate the suffering.

MY CONCLUSION :

1. This post understands the fact that we are all adults and have freedom of choice of candidate, I can't tell you who to vote, I can only tell you to check your conscience deeply to see if PMB should be advised to continue against all odds.

2. I acknowledge the fact that PMB has his achievements in his ways too, but the achievements are insignificant compared to the magnitude of these few points enlisted.

Sadly, the bitter truth is, we may vote PMB again if there's no better alternative, but most importantly, I want this post to achieve one thing...

And that's OPEN MINDEDNESS.

Let's have an open mind to receive a reasonable alternative, closing our mind and being rigid about PMB as if he's the only living options is not too good for us.u.

Till today, I still love Mr. President as a father, but the truth is, Baba is physically and intellectually unfit for the challenges on the ground in this country... This is the digital age, no longer analog. Our fathers would say, it's the dog of nowadays that could catch the rabbit of nowadays. If you think I didn't put it right, na you sabi o.

God bless Nigeria

God bless You and me.

OYO'S GUBER ASPIRANTS - Kehinde Ayoola JP.

Oyo State has been mightily blessed with a surfeit of gubernatorial aspirants this election cycle. I look across the parties and I see an array of men (sadly, no woman yet) who are eminently qualified to steer the ship of our state.

It is a thing that elicits gratitude to God that for once, Oyo State voters are no longer to be faced with a Hobson's Choice when they choose their governor next February.

Number One on my list is Engr Seyi Makinde, my friend, brother and political associate in whom thankfully, I and a lot of Oyo State people see a man finally, who could subsume his personal interest, make the necessary sacrifice and drive this state in the direction of economic prosperity, govern with humility and relate with her people without any air about him unlike the wont of many governors.

Ki Oluwa Seyi t'ó dara fun was ni'pinle Oyo. Amin.

Across the aisle, I am excited at the aspiration of Dr. Yunus Akintunde not because of his education ( he is well-educated) but because he is from my native Oyo Town.

Gone are the days when certain people condescendingly said: " Oyo 'ò lean" (Oyo is devoid of qualified personnel). Those were the days when people from other zones of Yorubaland represented us in government. They shined their torch to look for a nonexistent familial thread linking them to Oyo and pronto, they got imposed by the powers that be. But now, we have a man boldly putting himself forward. He has therefore followed in the illustrious footsteps of Prof Wande Abimbola and late Alhaji Adekunle Aruna-Elewi.

I shall be happy for him if his party puts Hadji Yunus forward.

Then there is my egbon, Dist Sen. Olufemi Lanlehin - a suave, easy-going and unobtrusive individual that comes from a thoroughly distinguished political family.

From the Upper Ogun River, my brother, Prof Adeolu Akande strikes you distinctly. A man of ideas, Deolu, Yunus Akintunde and I with a few others once collaborated in celebrating Atiku Abubakar in 2004. The synergy generated then held these guys up as achievers.

One wonders, though, how it happened that none of us is in Atiku's camp currently.

Sadly, only one of these guys can be put forward by their party as they are struggling for the same ticket.

You cannot but notice the artisan of our brother, Adebayo Adelabu, former Deputy Governor of the CBN. This young man has packed so much into his short years.

There is Joseph Tegbe, the not-so-new newcomer. He has a first-class brain and that may be why the powers that be in his party seem to want him there at all cost.

Egbon mi, Prof Soji Adejumo is who his title suggests - an erudite politician who instantly "infects" you with his erudition and calm mien if you come in contact with him.

Again, among himself, Tegbe and Adelabu, only one person can win their party's ticket.

There are very many others who are also capable across the parties but I've picked the few that I know and how I wish I could say same for Dr. Morohunkola Thomas...!

THE KEMI ADEOSUN VOLTE FACE BY RT. HON. KEHINDE AYOOLA

Certain things should be noted about the Kemi Adeosun "resignation".

1. She didn't do it out of her own volition as was previously thought. Rather she was asked to resign. That's a sack by another name.

2. I initially commended her but I have since withdrawn the adulation given her glaring dishonesty and egregious stubbornness in taking the whole nation for a ride for about 2 months since the story broke. Every day she spent in office was a slap on the face of millions of Nigerian youths who, mostly through harrowing difficulties, went through the NYSC scheme especially those who died during the process. Such a draft dodger deserves no honour at all.

3. There is serious corruption in our security system. She has been parading this fake Exemption Certificate since 2011 when she became Commissioner in Ogun State up till her Ministerial appointment in 2015. I cannot countenance that she evaded scrutiny until Premium Times did the patriotic job of exposing this perfidy.

4. The nonsensical effusions of Prof Itse Sagay in the wake of the fake certificate issue comes into bold relief now. The "learned" Prof should bury his head in shame. I wonder what is running through his mind now?

It is on record that Prof Sagay, Chairman of the Presidential Advisory Committee on Corruption (PACAC), said Kemi Adeosun's fake certificate issue was irrelevant and therefore rejected calls for her sack.
I hope he has not been advising the president and those around him on how to be corrupt, instead of against it.

5. There is yet another case like this in the Buhari administration : Obono Obloa , the Advisor on Recovery of Looted Funds.
While investigating a petition alleging that his credentials were not genuine, the Senate found out that the WASC 'O' Level certificate with which he gained admission to study Law at the University of Jos was a fake one.
This much was revealed by the West African Examination Council, WAEC, upon enquiry.

As you cannot build something on nothing, his claim to being a lawyer does not stand, in the circumstances.
He must go as well.

As a matter of fact, all Nigerians must give 100% support to President Buhari to flush out Obloa and other like-minded individuals from government.

Politics and public service are noble tasks that must be reserved only for those with not just high intelligence quotient but high moral standards as well.

It is well with Nigeria.

Omi Tuntun Igba Otun.
