THE KEMI ADEOSUN VOLTE FACE BY RT. HON. KEHINDE AYOOLA

Certain things should be noted about the Kemi Adeosun "resignation".

1. She didn't do it out of her own volition as was previously thought. Rather she was asked to resign. That's a sack by another name.

2. I initially commended her but I have since withdrawn the adulation given her glaring dishonesty and egregious stubbornness in taking the whole nation for a ride for about 2 months since the story broke. Every day she spent in office was a slap on the face of millions of Nigerian youths who, mostly through harrowing difficulties, went through the NYSC scheme especially those who died during the process. Such a draft dodger deserves no honour at all.

3. There is serious corruption in our security system. She has been parading this fake Exemption Certificate since 2011 when she became Commissioner in Ogun State up till her Ministerial appointment in 2015. I cannot countenance that she evaded scrutiny until Premium Times did the patriotic job of exposing this perfidy.

4. The nonsensical effusions of Prof Itse Sagay in the wake of the fake certificate issue comes into bold relief now. The "learned" Prof should bury his head in shame. I wonder what is running through his mind now?

It is on record that Prof Sagay, Chairman of the Presidential Advisory Committee on Corruption (PACAC), said Kemi Adeosun's fake certificate issue was irrelevant and therefore rejected calls for her sack.
I hope he has not been advising the president and those around him on how to be corrupt, instead of against it.

5. There is yet another case like this in the Buhari administration : Obono Obloa , the Advisor on Recovery of Looted Funds.
While investigating a petition alleging that his credentials were not genuine, the Senate found out that the WASC 'O' Level certificate with which he gained admission to study Law at the University of Jos was a fake one.
This much was revealed by the West African Examination Council, WAEC, upon enquiry.

As you cannot build something on nothing, his claim to being a lawyer does not stand, in the circumstances.
He must go as well.

As a matter of fact, all Nigerians must give 100% support to President Buhari to flush out Obloa and other like-minded individuals from government.

Politics and public service are noble tasks that must be reserved only for those with not just high intelligence quotient but high moral standards as well.

It is well with Nigeria.

Omi Tuntun Igba Otun.
