1. Discuss on your date preference:
A day or some hours prior to your date day put a phone call through to your date ask questions about their preference;
*Favorite types of food
* Date location: Choose a place that you are both comfortable with.
* Activities - movies, watch the sunset together, beach, zoo, games,etc.
* Confirm and conclude on time to meet: Evening or afternoon is the best time to have fun after a long and stressful day at work.
2. Dress well:
What you wear can determine your date impression of you. Choose an outfit that makes you feel great, attractive and confident. Your footwear is important too, choose the right foot wear and what your are comfortable with. Avoid too much perfume and excessive makeup. However, wear something that is appropriate for the type of date you are going on. Your date location determines your outfit.
3. Prepare your wallet:
Don't go on a date cashless. Prepare your wallet as you prepare yourself. Anything can happen.
4. Punctuality
Be time conscious. Don't show up late on purpose after which you've both agreed on time. Lateness can definitely pose a bad impression of you to your date. Which can literally ruin your date.
5. Stimulate Conversation:
Stimulate positive conversation to keep your hangout fun and enjoyable. Get to know your date better, do not be nervous, ask positive emotional questions and avoid all forms of negative conversation.
6. Put any form of distraction at bay:
Focus on your date and avoid all forms of distraction. Phone is a huge distraction and it can pose a wrong impression of you to your date. Make sure you set your phone on silent.
7. Going Dutch on a date: Good idea?
If you are interested in pursuing a romantic connection, going Dutch on a first date isn't advisable . Although, going Dutch on a first date is a common occurrence these days. Men claim gender equality and weasel their way out of what is supposed to be a romantic and respectable date. Basically men, if you want a second time date or a romantic connection, it's advisable you pay the bills on a first date.
8. Be yourself:
Do not pretend to be what you are not. "Be stupid, be dumb, be funny, if that's who you are. Don't try to be someone that society wants you to be; that's stupid. So be yourself" Christina Grimme. Treasure the magnificent being that you are. "Be yourself, but always your better self" Karl Maeser.
