Is it true that working won’t ever make me rich?

Kenneth Martin answered this question and I think you would benefit from it.

No. It is not true that working will never make you rich. Most rich people worked very hard to gain their wealth. There was nothing easy about it. If getting rich was easy and could be done without working hard, everyone would be rich.

The difference is in what kind of work you do. I have a cousin that dropped out of high school. I don't want to demean my cousin but the truth of the matter is he isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer. A butter knife would be like a razor compared to him.

He works hard. Many days he does twelve hours days. He can work his fingers to the bone digging ditches with a shovel and at $9.00 an hour, he'll never be rich.

One of my other cousins went to college. He only went for two years. He ended up with a bachelor's degree in business administration.

I'll call him Brad. Brad started his own construction company. At first, h,e was his only employee. His first jobs were paving people's driveways.

He bought a used dump truck. It was hard work. The business was so successful Brad expanded it. He hired ten employees and bought five more trucks. Brad was no longer doing the manual labor but he still had to work hard drumming up new clients.

Later, Brad started building roads, houses, and pretty much any type of construction a customer could want. Brad has over 500 employees. He isn't super rich but he does have a net worth of around ten million dollars.
