The SSA to the governor on Youths, Students and Sport, Afeez Bolaji Repete on Wednesday Morning through a post on his Facebook timeline said the His Excellency, Gov. Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo State has the unilateral right to nominate Caretaker Chairmen in the State without consulting stakeholders as the President did not consult him before nominating Barr. Adebayo Shittu as a Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The post was as a result of the interview the Honorable Minister granted on a television programme where he said the Governor did not consult stakeholders before nominating Caretaker Chairmen.
The Governor for more than half a decade that he has been in charge of the affairs of the State has not conducted any local government elections.
